"I started out working with Alyssa in Jan 1, 2019. I didn’t have a particularly bad diet (I love me some veggies), and I had been doing CrossFit for about two years. Most of my meals were cooked at home. I’ve worked hard to love my body at any size, but I absolutely hated the looks I would get when I would tell people I do CrossFit— the looks of disbelief... like I didn’t know what CrossFit was. So I decided to jump in with both feet and start working with Alyssa.

"As a guy, my mindset was that I could eat what I wanted and achieve my body goals, I joined a gym and started working out 5-6x a week, I LOVED my gym and I DID lose weight but it was a grueling process. I thought I had to “eat like a man” or have a “manly portion” to make “manly gains”. Then I started working – more like changed my lifestyle – with Alyssa. PCN isn’t exclusively about eating right, for me it has also been about treating your body so it can optimally perform.  Alyssa encouraged me not to look at my body but to also listen to it. When I was hungry, I ate. When I was tired, I took a rest day. I was going to the gym less frequently, excelling in workouts, and achieving body and fitness goals that I thought were months, if not years, away. I wanted to lose weight, and lose I did, within 3 months I had lost 30 pounds, a year lapsed and I was down 60 pounds. While I still have weight loss goals, it has become secondary to how I feel and how I perform, I don’t focus on the weight so much anymore – and she’ll teach you how to do that too."
